More Du-par's Retro Pancake Prices

A bit more reminiscing and singing.

Here's another part of the  day of 40-cent pancake plates on Tuesday, when the shop planned to sell a short stake of buttermilk hotcakes for the same prices as they did in 1948.

An estimated 1,900 pancakes were sold on Tuesday.

It's too bad that Du-Par's no longer uses the recipe that made those hotcakes famous in the first place. The consistency and texture is not the same as prior to the Naylors' ownership. It's really unfortunate that they chose to do away with what was the perfect pancake.

great video and the costumes, singing, and interviews....growing up in studio city, dupars was fun in the '50's..

I remember my mother singing "Yes, We Have No Bananas...." this was so cute!
