Verdasys Hires Studio City Native

WALTHAM, Mass., July 23, 2014 – Verdasys, the leading provider of advanced data protection for endpoints for Global 2000 and mid-sized companies, has added three senior executives to its leadership team: Doug Bailey, chief strategy officer; Salo Fajer, chief technology officer; and David McKeough, executive vice president, global field operations. After strong momentum in the first half of 2014, the company continues to position for more growth in the rapidly expanding security market.

“Doug, Salo and David are excellent additions to our team as we align our resources to capitalize on the tremendous opportunity in front of us,” said Ken Levine, president and CEO of Verdasys. “We have an aggressive plan to expand our employee base across sales, engineering, IT, quality assurance and marketing, and all this starts with proven leaders at the top who have valuable experience managing rapid growth.”

Douglas Bailey is responsible for business strategy and go-to-market planning at Verdasys. He has a long track record of success in IT security, most recently at McAfee and NitroSecurity, which was acquired by McAfee in 2011. Before that, Bailey was vice president of sales at Xelor Software, vice president of sales and marketing at Clarus Systems and vice president of sales at Ipsum Networks.

Salo Fajer drives product vision and innovation efforts at Verdasys, overseeing product management, product marketing and technical content development. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, including diverse technical leadership roles in product management, operations, consulting and sales engineering. Prior to Verdasys, Salo served as senior director product management, risk, compliance and analytics at McAfee and chief strategy officer at NitroSecurity. Salo also spent time at Enterasys as team lead – senior systems engineer where he was responsible for driving the company’s earlier security products.

David McKeough will drive global field operations at Verdasys overseeing the international sales and sales engineering teams. He is an IT security veteran, most recently spending eight years at McAfee where he led global sales efforts for its advanced technology group and oversaw some of the company’s most successful acquisitions. At McAfee, McKeough was responsible for more than 100 people and $330 million in bookings.  Prior to McAfee, McKeough founded two successful startups.
