Morella Avenue, the adjacent residential street just west of the school will be completely blocked off for Morella Water Park – an area filled with several inflatable water slides including Goliath, Double Splash Rapids, Slip ‘n’ Slide, and the water jet competition game Hydro-Blaster. Be sure to bring your swimsuits and towels.

The temperature is predicted to be a comfortable 82 degrees on the day of the fair, but if you’re feeling the heat, you may want to play a game of Fish Pong. Land the ping pong ball into the correct bowl and you can take home your own little Nemo (or at least get a coupon for one). Maybe you can use the excess fish water to cool off.
Food Vendor: Chill
Getting a little hot for you? Studio City’s popular yogurt and crepe shop Chill will have a booth at the Colfax World Fair for the first time this year. Owner Eugene will be whipping up your choice of 5 different kids of smoothies (Mango Tango anyone?), 8 different yogurts including 3 non-dairy selections, and a variety of sweet or savory crepes.
Silent Auction Item: Fender Squier Guitar Autographed by Pink
Be sure to lather on the sunblock at the Colfax World Fair or you’re liable to turn pink. And speaking of pink, one of the hottest silent auction items at the fair is a Fender guitar autographed by multiple Grammy-winning artist Pink, Billboard magazine’s #1 pop musician of the decade for 2009. There’s sure to be a bidding war on this one!
Entertainment: 3rd Graders Sing
At 3:00 on the stage, the Colfax 3rd graders will be singing The Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun. Must likely the sun will already have been up for about 9 hours by then.
The Colfax World Fair takes place Saturday, May 18th from noon until 7:00 pm at Colfax Charter Elementary School – 11724 Addison St. in Valley Village. Admission and parking are free. Silent Auction items may be viewed by clicking here.
