Countdown to the Colfax World Fair – Day 8

There’s only 8 more days until the highly anticipated Colfax World Fair. This Valley Village event is a huge fundraiser for Colfax Charter Elementary School which last year scored a mind-boggling API score of 928. It looks like all those extra programs funded by the fair really paid off. Colfax is hoping that on May 18th they’ll get another huge crowd.

Today we highlight another attraction, game or booth, food, silent auction item, and entertainment act which all have something to do with feet.

Countdown to the Colfax World Fair – Day 8 – Sweep You Off Your Feet

Attraction: 51’ Obstacle Course
Yes… this obstacle course is staggering 51 feet long – as wide as some of the lots in the neighborhood. It has two crawl through holes so two kids can go at one time, a 2 person climber, 2 person slide, inflated logs, squeeze through bumpers, pop ups, and an 80 square foot bouncing area.

Game or Booth: Tree People Planting

You can plant your feet as you plant a plant. The non-profit Tree People will be guiding guests in the proper planting of a seedling that you can take home and eventually transplant in your own yard. How many feet will it grow?

Food: Corn Heaven
What’s something you eat that’s a foot long on a stick? You might be thinking corn dog, but we’re thinking corn cob. The Corn Heaven Food Truck will be parked at the fair tempting you with juicy sweet corn on a cob. Last year they ran out in record time, so they’re sure to well stocked this year.

Silent Auction Item: Verona Shoes

Entertainment: Tap Dance
The beautiful and talented Nicole Jacobson has gathered together her dance class, and they’ll be performing a special tap dance – probably in unison. It’ll be a treat to watch these little Shirley Temples in action.
