News of the HomeFront

Charlanne is a seasoned California broker with midwetern values, and a sense of humor.

Statistically in our area of the Valley, not much has changed over this last 4 weeks. Further, those changes were not much either. I can happily say...in a glass-half-full thought, it's not getting worse. Perhaps the average consumer is even a bit bored But if you are a buyer who has been sitting on the sidelines waiting for a sign from above to jump in, here is my take on it.

Tip to Buyers:If you are earning the sum of money it takes to  qualify for a home purchase, waiting is costing you. Your tax bill, no matter how many deductions  is much larger than those who own their homes. And the interest rates are the lowest in 60 years. Think again about buying and with your first year as a homeowner, take that big refund check and put it on your principle. It is an equity/wealth builder action.
