'Amazing Race' Tryouts Kick Off on Friday in Studio City

No one will be able to line up at the studio until 7 a.m.

The Amazing Race, the show that pits families of two against each other, is looking for a whole new cast and is holding auditions beginning Friday morning in Studio City.

The open call is Friday at 9 a.m., and you cannot start lining up at the CBS Radford Studios lot until 7 a.m., security officials said. They expect thousands of people, and the cut-off time for the line is 3 p.m. Park in the large parking structure near the bridge on Radford.

The decade-old Emmy-award winning reality show pits contestants by challenging them to travel around the world and accomplish specific feats in the fastest times. Teams of two can be partners, spouses, brother-sister, mother-daughter or other such combinations and they win $1 million grand prize.
