Little Brown Church Stays Open 24 Hours Every Day

The community church welcomes anyone at any time, and even Britney Spears pops in—with photographers following.

The historic, founded in 1930, has hosted more than 25,000 weddings including the nuptials of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. The doors of the sanctuary are open 24 hours a day, welcoming those who wish to pray, meditate or even sleep.

Church elder Keegan-Michael Key, an actor you might recognize from Mad TV, tells Patch about the open door policy in the second video.

In 1989, Little Brown Church merged with Church of the Valley in Van Nuys where most of the action takes place, but Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) services are held in both locations.
