Marble-Sized Hail Hits Studio City, Hollywood

The raindrops seemed a little heavy, and hard, but that was because the sudden downpour of rain was actually marble-sized hail in Studio City and Hollywood Friday morning at about 10:20 a.m.

Weather reports say that sporadic thunderstorms can still occur for the rest of the day, and the north part of the San Fernando Valley rim of mountains show snow on top.

People saw the hail first in Burbank and said it was dime-sized. Other reports from Studio City and Hollywood said it was BB or pea size.

Just got hit in the eye by a marble size piece of hail.

Actor Andy Richter in Toluca Lake wrote: "Hail is falling in Toluca Lake! Yay!"
