Studio City approves the Stop Door Spam campaign to prohibit unwanted advertising

Locals can now take part in the Stop Door Spam campaign that was just recently unanimously favored by the Studio City’s Government Affairs committee.

The Stop Door Spam allows residents to go online and request for signs in both Spanish and English, that states that the private property prohibits advertisers to leave advertising materials on their property.

The signs are provided and created by the city, and can be placed on windows, doors or fences.

The Stop Door Spam campaign is now available for residents of Studio City after the Government Affairs approved it last week.

According to committee member Marcella Bell, there is a second action residents can take if the vendors still leave advertisements regardless of the sign being posted.

“They then can give you a formal letter to send to the advertiser, and then you can report the vendor if the vendor does it a second time," said Bell.

The approval was just recent and there is no new information as to where the sign can be requested, yet.
