Are Ivy League Schools worth the money? Listed here are the Pros and Cons of choosing an Ivy League School for college.

Is an Ivy League school right for everyone? In addition to the intense competition for gaining entrance to an Ivy League institution, students must also consider the cost of attending the school, which tend to typically cost more than most other colleges. Before investing an exorbitant amount of time trying to woo the admissions officers at an Ivy League students should weigh the pros and cons of attending an Ivy League versus a non-Ivy League. Following is a list of the benefits and drawbacks:

 

PROS CONS Large endowments Competition to gain acceptance Widespread recruiting Competition among student body Diversity among student body Limited number of studies and majors Professors are top of their field Some of the big name professors are not necessarily good teachers Grant students funds for research or summer programs Traditional outlook -  programs tend to be less experimental Strong alumni network   Worldwide name recognition
