Arab-American Stories: Americans from all backgrounds can relate to the challenges that immigrants face. In collaboration with Detroit Public Television and PBS, Studio City Library will feature three programs reflecting the Arab-American Experience.Thursday, October 10 at 6:30pm. Join our moderator, Gregory Orfalea, educator and author, for a panel discussion about civic engagement. Panelists include Ferial Masry, educator, small business owner, and politician; Sergeant Muawiya “Mike” Abdeen, of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department; and Dr. Mahmoud Traina, UCLA cardiologist, for a lively and engaging discussion.
