Bryan Chan and Friends Music Showcase

We are set for another night of music at Jumpcut Café (formally Lulu’s Beehive) at 13203 Ventura Blvd Studio City 91604 March 22nd between 6pm and 10pm.. This will be, as always, an up close and intimate performance.  Jump Cut Cafe serves awesome coffee drinks, sandwiches, soups, salads and taste treats. There will be no cover charge for this event. The line up for the night is as follows.

6pm to 6:30pm---Simon Lucas
Simon is a ‘folky’ from England. He has been in the U.S.A. for 30 years but still
speaks funny. He collects stringed instruments, some of which he can even play. He normally plays guitar, but has been known to pick up a string bass, dulcimer, cuatro or marxophone. He has a deep voice and sings a mixture of Irish, Scottish, Country and anything else he hears that he likes. He also has a stock of amusing songs, which sometimes he can be bribed into singing. He refuses to make CDs, so if you want to hear him, you will have to find him onstage playing live.

6:30 to 7pm---The Licata Brothers
Jimmy (age 16) and Tony (age 13) Licata have been sharing their love of 1940s through 1980s hits with San Gabriel Valley audiences for the past few years, most recently at the Altadena Coffee Gallery Backstage. Fresh off a busking tour of the Deep South this past August, Tony's impressive vocal range, Jimmy's remarkable guitar work and their soulful harmonies are sure to lift your spirits. Check out some recent performances at  www.TheLicataBrothers.com.

With a catalog of over a thousand songs, a dynamic history of hundreds of live

and Nancy Cartwright (aka the voice of Bart Simpson), it might seem hard to
pinpoint a single moment that captures the deep emotional impact that singer,
songwriter and all around musical Renaissance woman Deedee O’Malley has on her audience.
Music industry icon, Russ Regan, credited with discovering and “opening doors”
for everyone from Elton John and Barry White to Neil Diamond and The Beach Boys, is one of Dee Dee’s biggest fans and summed up her inimitable skills best:
“There is no one better who can write a lyric so easy to remember and a melody so hard to forget.”
This powerful prolific writer has won The  #1 Indie Cd of the year award for her
album “Simple” from Music Connection Magazine, and Los Angeles Music
Awards Singer/Songwriter of the Year. Deedee O’Malley’s original songs have
been heard in dozens of movies and television shows, including, Beautiful People, Benny Bliss, Strong Medicine, Joan of Arcadia, Party of Five and
