jazz standards on a beautiful white Baby Grand Piano set, against the romantic backdrop of our ponds and softly lit trees.

“We are thrilled to offer the Valley a place to celebrate New Year’s Eve.  Most people in the Valley have at least one
fond memory relating to the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events
Center and we look forward to adding many more fabulous memories,” stated General Manager, Laurence Whiting.

Your New Year’s Eve begins with a lavish dinner buffet stations including our exquisite seafood display replete with Chef’s hand-carved ice sculpture, an amazing dinner menu with something for everyone, created by our award winning Executive Chef.  DJ Craig B. will start off the evening, spin the tunes and set the tone for the night for the party to come.  At 9:30PM, The Jazzy Boy Jeff Dance Band will take the stage in the Empire Room.  This
10 piece brass funk band will host an amazing countdown to midnight and will perform until 1:30PM.  We dare you to
enter the Starlight Room without feeling the need to join your friends on the dance floor.  With the light show and
your favorite party hits, you can’t deny the urge to “shake your groove thang.”  Take a break and enjoy one of
our decadent desserts or just sip on a Chocolate Mint Martini in the Caribou Lounge while you enjoy the smooth jazz standards played by Barry Lamster with
the elegant view of the gardens and softly lit trees.

The Main Event promises excitement for everyone in attendance.  “We will have music for everyone. Let me warn you, this is not your grandmother’s New Year’s Eve
party.  Wear your dancing shoes, because we intend to keep everyone in the groove well past midnight,’ declares Jeff Harris, leader of the Jazzy Boy Jeff Dance Band.  “Expect to see a few familiar faces jamming with us on the stage.  Many of our friends are ready to give you a show you will never forget!”

I wish the media had countered Garcetti's claims with an examination of the facts and had exposedRead More his relationship with BIG development. Only the LA Weekly covered these stories--keep reading it and keep posting.

I attended N.H.H.S. in the mid-seventies. Mr. Reeves and Mr. Moelter were two of my favorites.Read More Loved Mr. McLeroy for Sociology.

great article Mary! Ms. Korney, she sometimes scared me to death! But always around christmas IRead More think of her and pronounce my letters clearly at the end of a word when I sing. I can still remember the song I had to sing for my final, "If ever I would leave you..." She taught me a lot. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Reeves. I had Mr. Pesin for Algebra, he did nothing to help further my math skills. The biggest flirt around, ick. We had a girl in school at the time that flirted her way to an A and hardly ever went to class. Go figure!! I also thought quite highly of Ms. Requiam. Glad she's still around.
