JOINS GLOBAL CAMPAIGN 13 FEBRUARY, 2014


On 13 February 2014, at 8pm we will join with activists around the world for ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE. The campaign will build upon the energy and momentum that was created on February 14, 2013 when one billion activists in 207 countries and territories came together to rise, strike, and dance, in the biggest mass action in human history, to demand an end to violence against women and girls. 

This year, we will focus on the issue of justice for all survivors of gender violence, and ending the rampant impunity that prevails globally. ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE is a call to women, men, and youth around the world to gather and dance.

The campaign is a recognition that we cannot end violence against women without looking at the intersection of poverty, racism, war, the plunder of the environment, capitalism, imperialism, and patriarchy. Impunity lives at the heart of these interlocking forces.

VitalDanza is an invitation enter in contact with the finest version of oneself, through music, movement and the art of healing through love actions.It is a unique and exciting exploration of heart-opening existential creativity and the seduction and sensuality of being alive. If you have a heartbeat you can do it. 

The fusion of music, emotion, voice work, creativity, ceremony, and community, explored through movement, our most primal form of expression, is vital in this non - choreographed group process to evoke a higher consciousness grounded in peace, pleasure, kindness, joy, self-confidence, and well-being. When we commit to transform and empower ourselves somatically and soulfully, our lives blossom. Our original essential expression of community and instinctive compassion awakens, and helps us to remember the poetry of relationship with ourselves, with others, and with all of life.
