7:30 p.m. Christmas Eve service

This year, for the first time, the
early and late services are linked. In an effort to close the three to four
hour gap between the two complimentary programs, the added potluck will link
the two into a single unique UU Christmas experience. Here’s what makes the Unitarian-Universalist
Church of Studio City Christmas Pageant unique. Starting with the “No Rehearsal

All Ages Nativity Pageant” at 5 p.m., children and adults share the fun of participating
in the mythical manger scene by "becoming" any one of the story's
icons from Mary and Joseph and Caesar to the shepherds, angels, camels, sheep,
mice, horses, wise ones and stars. Or, just sit, watch, and sing-a-long with
the traditional carols.

Fun and fellowship continues with a
potluck mini-dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Fellowship with all of us no matter
which (or both) services you plan on attending. Please bring a hearty
ready-to-eat appetizer or dessert which can be eaten off a napkin.

This takes us up to the second
service at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the traditional readings and songs, David
Lewis' original radio play "Christmas Starr" about a solitary truck
driver's twilight-zone musical experience that brings him peace, joy, and
spiritual harmony on a cold, dark, and lonely Christmas Eve. The second service
concludes with lighting the votive candles and singing the beautiful medley of "Peace Peace Peace" and "Silent Night.”
