V-Day Studio City Presents "The Vagina Monologues" at The Federal Bar in NoHo

Maxie Solters, Studio City native and founder of
V-Day Studio City, is bringing Eve Ensler’s, “The Vagina Monologues” (TVM) to The Federal Bar, 5303 Lankershim
Blvd., in North Hollywood, for two nights only: March 28 and 29.

The small but
mighty Solters produces this hysterical, eye-opening,
heart-wrenching, and provocative piece, revealing true stories of women’s
experiences with their sexuality.

Based on over 200 interviews, the award
winning play’s premise is about female empowerment, the ultimate embodiment of
individuality, and the personal freedom to be a sexual being.

This is V-Day Studio City's first
year appearing at The Federal Bar. Doors open at 7 pm for
dinner and drinks; the show begins at 8 pm; and the audience is invited for
a private after party with the cast, following each evening’s performance. Check
out their scrumptious menu at thefederalbar.com

For Solters, TVM
is more than a play.  “It's a movement to
raise awareness and bring hope to those struggling with abuse. It's about
giving the women that Eve interviewed a voice. We speak for those who can't
speak for themselves.  If we can touch
just one person, then it's all worth it.”

Maxie is proud to appear in TVM  because “It’s much
bigger than just me.”  It’s a catalyst for “transforming both men and
women,” who can participate by reciting “the happy fact,” which enlightens us
about vaginas. In other circumstances, “that would be taboo,” but in the context
of TVM, “even saying the word
provides people everywhere the courage and strength they need to break the
cycle of violence.

Solters created V-Day Studio City after graduating from USC
in 2009, to continue her passion for the cause. “I’ve discovered an inner depth and confidence
since joining this organization,” she divulges. “I’m grateful to work amongst
the most inspiring women I've ever met, all of whom are still incredible
friends today. One of the best parts about V-Day Studio City is getting to
spend time with the amazing cast every V-season.”

Solters co-stars with Allie Altschuler (who also directs), Michelle
Appezzato, Ginny Cruciano, Heldine Aguiluz, and Emily Short.

The Pleasure Chest and Jopen continue their
tradition of sponsoring a pre-show adult raffle and fake orgasm contest.
Body Vision Los Angeles, the country's premier gold body jewelry company, joins
V-Day Studio City this year as a benefactor.

Tickets are $20 cash at the door or
in advance at ticketweb.com. Chocolate Vagina Lollipops and T-shirts will be sold. The
event sells out fast so it’s best to secure seats ahead of time!
