MOONSTONE ENTERTAINMENT LAUNCHES A NEW MEGA ACTION PACT MOVIE FRANCHISE “CODENAME FALCON” STARTING WITH “FAVELA” AT THE 2013 AMERICAN FILM MARKET

This is the fifth day of American Film Market, which takes place at the Santa Monica Loews Beach Hotel from Wednesday, November 6 to Wednesday, November 13, 2013.  Thousands of film and media buyers from around the world are running around buying mainly films from entertainment companies which have converted hotel suites into temporary selling offices. 

One veteran film company attending is Moonstone Entertainment from Studio City, California run by Etchie Stroh who talked to me about his business and what he is up to at this year’s AFM.  

GIL: Tell us about the benefits you get from having an office in Studio City?

ETCHIE: It is conveniently located between the studios and labs of Burbank and the agents, studios etc of West Hollywood, Century City and Beverly Hills.

GIL: What kind of company is Moonstone Entertainment?

ETCHIE: We are a fully integrated film boutique that produces, distributes and markets films and also acts as sales agents for third parties.

GIL: How long have you been attending the AFM? 

ETCHIE: We have been coming to the AFM for 26 years.

GIL: What’s new from Moonstone at this year’s AFM?

ETCHIE: We are launching an exciting new franchise that includes one completed film with a premiere screening.  “FAVELA” starring Michael Jai White is the first movie from our “Codename Falcon” franchise.  (The cast of “FAVELA” also include Neal McDonough, Masashi Odate and Laila Ali. The film is directed by Ernie Barbarash and produced by Shahar Stroh and Ernst "Etchie" Stroh and is brought to you by Moonstone Entertainment and Strohberry Films.)

GIL: What are your plans for the future?

ETCHIE: Producing and distributing new amazing films with the same set up.
