Rotary Club of Studio City/Sherman Oaks Guest Speaker

A presentation on The Alliance for Children’s Rights www.kids-alliance.org by Director of Development, Marlene McGuirt and Youth Council member, Jessica Chandler will be the feature at the Rotary Club of Studio City/Sherman Oaks' luncheon on Feb. 21, 2012.

Each year 1,500 youth age out of foster care without a support system, resulting in alarming rates of homelessness and incarceration. 

The Alliance for Children’s Rights is committed to changing these statistics and making Los Angeles a place where all children and youth have hope for a bright future. Jessica Chandler was a former foster youth.  She will be sharing her experience and bright future due to The Alliance’s support.

Since 1992, The Alliance has provided free legal services and advocacy to protect the rights of over 100,000 impoverished and abused children and youth. With a dedicated staff and team of pro bono attorneys, The Alliance works to restore the basic rights that all kids deserve – safe, stable homes, access to health care and the education they need to thrive. 

Lunch is $18.
