Sip, Shop & Support - A Charity Mixer

Valley Women Mix Business with Pleasure for Charity

San Fernando Valley, CA (March 10th, 2011)……March is International Women’s Month, and one San Fernando Valley based business group is doing its part to shine a light on entrepreneurs and charities with women at the heart of their mission.

On Thursday March 24th, 2011, The Project W., a networking body that connects artistic female entrepreneurs with corporate entities, will host a Charity Mixer, bringing together business owners in the San Fernando Valley for a night of fun in support of the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST).

The Project W. co-founder, Sjareska Martina says that combining business with pleasure is a positive thing for women in business;

“We all work hard, but sometimes forget to take time for ourselves and to connect with others. Our mixers will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to exchange ideas and contacts in a relaxed setting, while supporting local businesses and charities at the same time.”

The night will showcase the uniqueness of what businesses in the San Fernando Valley have offer. The event will be held at the boutique Mimi and Hy, a one stop shop for gifts and upscale accessories. Visitors will have their taste buds tickled with baked treats from celebrity pastry chef, Diana Sproveri and Handmade by Sara Kim will be on hand with inspired, one of a kind creations, perfect for wedding gifts and Mother’s Day. Martha of Chiquiya Design will be presenting her latina-inspired t-shirt line for the very first time.

There is no charge for the event; women are asked to bring unused toiletries to the mixer which will be given to local shelters. 10% of all goods sold on the night will be donated to CAST.

To RSVP for the event, email reachout@theprojectw.com by Wednesday March 23rd.
