Sip, Shop & Support - A Charity Mixer

Valley Women Mix Business with Pleasure for Charity

On Thursday April 28, 2011, The Project W., a networking body that connects artistic female entrepreneurs with corporate entities, will host a co-ed Charity Mixer, bringing together business owners in the San Fernando Valley for a night of fun in support of Just Food (JustHollywood.org).

Project W co-founder, Sjareska Martina says that combining business with pleasure is a positive thing for business;

“We all work hard, but sometimes forget to take time for ourselves and to connect with others. Our mixers will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to exchange ideas and contacts in a relaxed setting, while supporting local businesses and charities at the same time.”

The night will showcase the uniqueness of what businesses in the San Fernando Valley have offer. The event will be held at Mare'ka Live, an organic bistro cafe, by day, and an organic bar by night where all drinks and foods are concocted with nature's superfoods. Visitors will be pleased to shop through Robin Rosen's Collection for unique jewelry pieces and purses for a steal!

There is no charge for the event. 10% of all drink sales during the evening will be donated to Just Food, an organization which teaches high school students how to grow organic fruits and vegetables, design and build a community garden, as well as nutrition and cooking classes. Just Food founders, Nathan French and Corrine Galvan will share the importance of supporting the non-profit organization.
