Community Corner

Studio City/Sherman Oaks Rotary Club Guest Speaker

Julia Bricklin of the LAPD Community Police Advisory Board will be speaking about the CPAB at tomorrow's meeting.

The board is designed to act as a communication conduit between the public and the LAPD. The public advises the board on crime and safety issues that affect our neighborhoods. In turn, CPAB keeps us abreast of issues they are tackling, so that they can get that information back out to the public. CPAB is comprised of community activists who take on projects that improve the quality of life in the large North Hollywood area.

They are comprised of around 28 citizens of North Hollywood, Studio City, Sunland, and parts of Sherman Oaks and Toluca Woods. There are 21 divisions of LAPD, and therefore 21 CPABS. Lisa's group works with the North Hollywood division of the LAPD.
