Heidi's Birthday Brings Fans to Maxwell Dog

Our dog columnist celebrated her 10th birthday, and about 50 fans, friends, family and fellow canines showed up and even brought presents.

Heidi, our dog columnist at Studio City Patch, for the A Paw at the Door column celebrated her 10th birthday aton Sunday afternoon. About 50 fans, friends, family and fellow canines stopped by, and some even brought presents.

Co-writer for the column, Diane Haithman, was present as well as Diane's husband Alan Feldstein.

Pet Peeves columnist Don Helverson helped lead a gift giveaway, which also included a gift from Barbara Krause and  Nader M. Kashani of (where there's a photo of Heidi up on the wall with ), came with his family to offer a gift.

from the Studio City Neighborhood Council and Wendei Spale from (who is also writing a blog), came out to say hi to Heidi.

, who interviews celebrities on the red carpet, got to do a few interviews with those who showed up with their dogs on the Patch-green carpet. (See a video presentation coming up later in the week.)

Also, photographer , who has done photo shoots with Heidi, was there to take pictures of people with their dogs. He will be posting them on Patch.

Patch Regional Editor Richard Core, publisher David Peck, and advertising manager  were also there.
