Quiet Weather Pattern Persists, But More Heat is On the Way

The forecast calls for the status quo to continue, and we'll see a slight warming trend through Thursday. How hot will we get this time?

Weak high pressure sits in place over the region, and will continue to do so for most of this week.  As a result, our weather pattern won't see much change at all for the next several days.

A marine inversion will limit low clouds and fog to the immediate coast, and that will contribute to a steady warming trend, though I'm not expecting anything like the heat wave we saw last weekend.  At their peak, temperatures should reach the mid to upper 90s on Thursday before a cooling trend takes us back closer to normal again.

Still, if you're in the mood for cooler temperatures, the beaches will be the place to be.  The Pacific Ocean, Los Angeles' natural air conditioner, will keep the coast in the low 70s all week long.
