Studio City Winter Family Festival to Bring Holiday Cheer

Festival features giant snow field with slides, music and also asks for various donations for Radio Disney Festival of Giving.

The third annual Studio City Winter Family Festival brings the community together to celebrate the holidays on Sunday, Dec. 8 at Beeman Park.

The free festival runs from 1 to 4 p.m. and is presented by the Studio City Residents Association in conjunction with the Studio City Recreation Center, the neighborhood council and many other sponsors. It will feature a giant snow field with slides, music by local schools and community groups, treats from local restaurants, photos with Santa and much more.

At the Nov. 20 neighborhood council meeting, they approved to set funding aside for the arts and crafts supplies for the festival. The SCRA is funding ice for the snow and other festival events.

Radio Disney Festival of Giving asks attendees to bring donations of canned and packaged food, new and unwrapped toys, pet food and toys, new and gently used books and new and used clothing to benefit various local charities, including the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry, the North Hollywood LAPD Food & Gift Drive and many more.

Later in the day, more than 2,000 luminarias will take over Campo de Cahuenga for the third annual Luminaria Festival from 4 to 7 p.m., which is put on by the neighborhood council. Click here for more information on this event.
