House Hunt: Rock Hudson's Studio City Pad Up for Sale

There's also something called a 'skinny dip pool.'

Rock Hudson has had some history in Studio City.

He loved dining in restaurants along Ventura Boulevard, he was named Mayor of Universal City, and now a place on 3893 Avenida Del Sol  where he supposedly lived, is now up for sale.

Rock Hudson was named the mayor of Universal City in 1953, getting nearly 2,000 votes from "locals."

In 1950, Ralph Bowerman designed a 1,008-square-foot house with one bedroom and three quarter-bathrooms.

Hudson lived there from 1951 to 1955.

The house is for sale now and is considered a "nice starter" for someone wanting to move into Studio City. It' also has something billed as a "skinny dip pool."

The house is only 1,008 square feet, has one bedroom and a three-quarter bathroom. The current owners looked to have picked it up in a bank sale last fall for $300,000. It's now asking $649,900.

Historically, according to a biography by Mark Miller, in Studio City there was a house where in 1953, Hudson met Phyllis Gates at a small party and ended up marrying her.
