Beach Bummer's List of 2014.
Heal The Bay has posted the results of their latest Beach Bummer’s List (ones that you'll want to avoid).
This year Los Angeles has three beaches in the top ten -- beaches which scored a letter grade of C or worse.
Water quality generally improved this year due to drought conditions. We managed to avoid polluted water runoff which usually occurs after heavy rain. On a bright note, Avalon in Catalina has improved so much that it is no longer on the Bummer’s list. Congratulations to Avalon for doing an amazing cleanup! Keep up the good work!
