You're Invited To A Divorce Party.

Gwyneth Paltrow, move over. The hottest new invitation in town is the unwedding of a formerly married couple – a divorce party! The invitation reads: Jack and Jill Johnson have chosen July 15, 2014 to celebrate their uncoupling. We hope you will join us at the White Chapel in Las Vegas at six o’clock in the evening. Cocktail reception and dinner will follow at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, Paris Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The ceremony will feature the former bride and groom walking down the aisle arm in arm. The minister will read the unvows. The bride and groom will pledge their coparenting roles and respect for each other. The bride’s father will then walk her back up the aisle to a waiting limo while the groom will exit with the best man and proceed to his waiting black BMW.

During the cocktail reception the photographer will take shots of the former bride with her family and the groom with his.  He will wear a black carnation in his lapel. She will carry a bouquet of weeds and dandelions. When she tosses it to the single women in their party whoever catches it will throw it back. The first dance will feature the ex-bride with her father, the ex-groom with his mommy.

The un-wedding cake will be a lemon, upside down tiered cake with white icing. The bride and groom figures on top will be placed back to back facing outward. She will make a cut on her side of the cake, he on his. Each will feed him and herself a sliver.

Wedding guest favors will feature a small heart broken in half with black covered mints. Suggested uncoupling gift – Amazon.com gift certificates for ex-bride and ex-groom. The photographer can take pictures of the hotel room doors with the ex-groom’s shoes outside of one door, the ex-bride’s heels outside another guest room on a different floor.

The non-honeymoons will naturally be taken separately at a spa, resort, Dude Ranch or cruise of their choices. There will be additional events and services available for post-divorce celebrations, such as custody battle cocktail parties, bifurcation divorce brunches and catered yacht sailings for divorce finalization weekends.
