Hello! My Name Is...

Meet the newest blogger to the Patch family!

Oh geez, my first posting. This is where I introduce myself in hopes of you and I becoming fast BFFs. It's the first day of school all over again when the teacher utters those gut wrenching words, "Let's go around the room and share a little something about yourself." Egads! Both then and now I feel enormous pressure although now I do so without my scoliosis brace and cystic acne (ahhh, good times).

To begin with, I've lived in Studio City for over 30 years, back when the whole valley had a 213 area code! As a kid, a great day was going to Art’s Deli for matzo ball soup and Buddy Brown’s for a shiny new toy. Now it's finding a frigging parking spot ats. Sure, Studio City has changed a lot, gotten more congested and given a new area code, but it still remains a wonderful place to live full of great shops, yummy restaurants, and quaint neighborhood parades.

As for my career, I used to write for television on such legendary shows as "Roundhouse" (whaa?), "Sweet Valley High" (hmmm... sounds familiar) and of course the classic "Battle Of The Bods" with the half naked contestants (sure, that one you heard of ). For the past decade I became an author, creating a series of biting yet informative self-help books. I'm married to a die-hard Chiefs fan and have a thirteen year-old daughter whose latest obsession is mastering a back hand spring.  We have a dog named Daisy who has a fatty tumor the size of a grapefruit, but no one is getting their fat sucked out of them before I do.

There. I think I’ve covered the basics. Now that we're Internet besties, I hope you invite me to your cyber BBQs and I’ll drive you to the iCloud airport.  I also hope that my blog enlightens, informs, and entertains you about all things Studio City and beyond!
