I once worked out with a Personal Trainer in Studio City who couldn’t touch her toes. She could run a marathon, lift weights and workout 4 hrs a day but could not bend over and put those hands on the ground with her legs straight. Don’t get me wrong she was a super-fit athlete but just not flexible. The two don’t always equate.
This personal trainer was always impressed when I could touch my tootsies and do the end of session stretches almost touching my leg to my nose.
My bendiness isn’t from years of Yoga (although I’m sure that helps) it’s just how my body works. I’m told it’s Something to do with long muscles down the back of my legs which amuses me as I’m only 5″3! So it seems some girls are flexible and some aren’t.
When I hear men say fat girls aren’t good in bed because they’re not ‘flexible enough’ to get in ‘good’ positions I call them on it. Actually, I usually take it on as a personal challenge to convert their thinking and demonstrate how I can bend my leg over my head before a quick wink and whispering “I guess you’ll never know!”
