Blog: Single on Valentine's Day? Throw a “Plus Size Plus One” Party

BIG CURVY LOVE focuses on living a fabulous life regardless of where you are on the scales or where you want to be. This week - SINGLE ON VALENTINES DAY? Throw a “Plus Size Plus One” Party

Are you SINGLE IN STUDIO CITY and hating the idea of spending VALENTINES DAY alone? Ditch those sour ANTI VALENTINE’S DAY parties and use V-DAY as an excuse to celebrate and throw a  PLUS SIZE PLUS ONE PARTY!

I’m a big beliver in friend introductions as a way of meeting the love of your life. There’s also a lot to be said for the initial spark that comes from meeting in person. This is an opportunity to have the security of a friend buffer rather than facing those awkward blind dates, speed dating or showing up stag to arandom singles event.

Your Plus Size Plus One party isn’t about a quick shag or hookup but rather for legit sinlges looking for real life instant attraction rather than trawling throuogh pics online.

Here’s how it works:

1) Create a CLOSED FB EVENT arranging to meet at a  bar

2) Invite SINGLE  PERSONAL FRIENDS (try for equal male and female)

3) Each guest brings  at least one single friend of the OPPOSITE SEX

The important thing is that you choose friends, family, exes or co-workers that you know PERSONALLY. These are people who you vouch for and you think are dating material. Since this is a plus size event, only invite guys you know are into curvy big girls. This is where inviting people you know personally comes in handy.

My advice is to go to dinner with your friends beforehand and have the meet-up as drinks only. This way thre’s no pressure of 2hr table talk or switching seats every three minutes.

Let me know if any matches are made at your PLUS ONE party!
