LA Fellows, Free Training Program for Unemployed Job Seekers, Announces New Dates

Los Angeles Valley College Job Training office has scheduled additional orientation dates for the LA Fellows program. LA Fellows is a unique program that helps mid-career job seekers get back to work faster through an innovative pairing of instruction and volunteerism. It was recently featured in an article posted on Forbes.com:  http://www.forbes.com/sites/nextavenue/2013/11/13/programs-and-tips-to-help-the-long-term-unemployed/

The start date for the next cohort is January 13th; interested job seekers will need to attend one of the informational orientation sessions on December 6th, 11th or 17th in order for their application to be accepted. Orientations last approximately 2 hours and give interested individuals a complete overview of the program and its requirements. Locations and parking information may be found at our website www.lafellows.org/apply. There is no charge to participants for this training. All classes will take place at Los Angeles Valley College.

For additional questions, call the LAVC Job Training office at 818-974-2941 and speak to program director Allison Silver, Project Coordinator Keri Luna, or Program Assistant Mary Turner.
