Last Minute Holiday Art Sales at Carter-Sexton Fine Art Materials
Local art for sale at Carter Sexton Art Supplies until mid-January
had their yearly holiday show a couple of weeks ago. Their gallery is just inside their store on Laurel Canyon. It was quite a show with local artists and local gallery owners coming out to support the show.
I met Takara, who owns the , in Noho. She had the greatest outfit on and I know from viewing their site, that they make and sell one of a kind clothing as well as other artists work.
One of the highlights of the show, for me, was hearing and meeting, Matt Cooker, a rock cellist. I've included a video of him so you can see what I'm talking about. One of the things I love the most is discovering and sharing great talent. This is one of those times. So make sure you view the video!

I also met Nancy Nickerson, gallery director/designer/artist of Monet's Gardens. They do a lot of interesting things there including art and garden travel programs, fine art sales and rentals, art and language classes and landscape design.
The Carter Sexton holiday show gallery will be open until Mid-January so you can wander in until then and see all the selections. All of the works are for sale, original and under $100.
