Drizzle Art by Robert Holton on Exhibit at the October 2012 Studio/City/Sherman Oaks Rotary Club Arts & Crafts Show

Drizzle Art by Robert Holton exhibiting at the October 2012 Studio/City/Sherman Oaks Rotary Club Arts & Crafts Show.

The Studio City/Sherman Oaks Rotary club is pleased to announce that Robert Holton, the artist behind Drizzle Art, will be have a booth at this year's October Arts & Crafts Show.  http://drizzleart.com/

Drizzle art by Robert Holton depicts pop culture icons which are digitally printed onto stretched canvas, then hand-painted using Robert’s “drizzle” technique. The final paintings are bright, colorful, fun, and often very meaningful to viewers who find their own unique links to the friendly imagery.

"I created a series of paintings on Southern California icons that have brought about happy memories for me at different points in my life. My hope is that when my pop art paintings are displayed, viewers can think back to pleasant memories in their own lives.", says Holton.

Robert also is involved with charity work.  One of two custom pieces he did a few months back for Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, is shown in the photo section of this blog. This is the second year Robert has been given a commission to create custom art for their donor who gave a car away to be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in Costa Mesa. The vehicle went for over $116,000.00 and a painting was given to the donor and the person who bought it as a gift from the hospital.

A new line of work featuring quotes by Marilyn Monroe will be featured at this show. Check them out and visit the artist at his booth the weekend of October 13 and 14, 2012 at the Studio City/Sherman Oaks Rotary Club Arts & Crafts Show, Moorpark Park, Studio City.
