On Tuesday, January 31, 2012 fellow Rotarian, Tama Holve of presented an interesting and informative talk on "Uh...Why Should I Use a Travel Agent?" Guests received a beautiful calendar, travel publication and citrus-scented lip balm, courtesy of Willett Travel.
With humor and stories, Tama revealed that when going through a Travel Agency such as hers, the customer's best interest is their priority. Hotels and other amenities are motivated to provide better service as they must answer to the Agency. If there's an emergency, the agency is there to help on the customer's behalf as well.
Over the past 25 years, under Tama's guidance, Willett Travel grew from 9 to 60 employees. They now contract with Signature Travel Network, which provides purchasing power for deals and specialty venues to their clients such as a Food Network Cruise.
Willett Travel Agency takes the time to get to know their clients, some of whom have been with them from the booking their honeymoon to booking their grandchildren's honeymoons. It's about buiding relationships over the years.
Two fellow Rotarians, Bob Black and club President, Jonathan Israel, gave testimonials to the service they received from Tama's agency for their special travel plans. The service they received was beyond their expectations.
Before Tama, Willett Travel had been owned by two other Rotarians, Charlie Willett and Jack Greenwald, between 1943 - 1987. A company that follows the Rotary 4-Way Test can be expected to be held to high ethical standards.
A travel agent is a must when the occassion is that important. Think anniversaries, engagements and other memorable events.
