TreePeople presented at the Rotary Club of Studio City/Sherman Oaks

On Tuesday, January 15, Torin Dunnavant and Rosa Donis presented on behalf of TreePeople at the Rotary Club of Studio City/Sherman Oaks luncheon meeting.

TreePeople's mission is to inspire, engage and support people to take personal responsilibity for the urban environment, making it safe, healthy, fun and sustainable and to share the results as a proces for the world.

Rosa Donis, Senior Manager, Elementary Education shared stories of how TreePeople helped provide free trees to urban elementary schools through empowering and involving the schools' staff, students and their parents. She passed around heartfelt thank you letters from the students, with their adorable hand-drawn pictures of the planted trees.

Torin Dunnavant, Community Engagement Manager, who had spoken to our club before, reminded us of the history of TreePeople, and updated us on the latest innovations in sustainable solutsion, volunteering activities and other ways to get involved.

It was an enjoyable presentation and we welcome them back anytime.
