Lisa Cahan Davis – Candidate for At-Large Stakeholder, 2012 Studio City Neighborhood Council Elections
Lisa Cahan Davis, At-Large Candidate for the Studio City Neighborhood Council.
I'm Lisa Cahan Davis, an At-Large Stakeholder Candidate for the SCNC (Studio City Neighborhood Council).
This is my first time running for a board seat after being an engaged volunteer on the Cultural Affairs Committee (since 2009) and as the Chairperson to the Outreach Committee (since 2010). While a stakeholder can bring change (or sustain balance) on many Studio City concerns by attending monthly SCNC Committee and Board meetings, I know I can add increased value by becoming a voting Board member who offers perspective, broadminded and diversity of thought.
Since my involvement with the SCNC, I have had the pleasure to work on the following:

- Luminaria Event at Campo de Cahuenga
- Mayor’s Day of Service
- TreePeople’s Green City Fair
- National Night Out
- SCNC Street Banner Project
- Appointee – Mayor’s Budget Advocate 2011/2012
- Chairperson – Public Private Partnerships
Presently, I’m keen on issues related to The Universal Project, transportation, safety, infrastructure repair/replacement, attracting, keeping and assisting companies that want to be/stay in the Valley/Studio City (we need to improve the job scene), environment, stakeholder outreach and small business growth.
For over 20 years, I have worked as a marketing professional for all types of companies—Fortune 500 to start-ups to non-profits. I understand the benefits of creating a vision and plan for success. My intention is to bring that experience as the At-Large SCNC Board member.

I’m very happy to call Los Angeles my home. I have terrific family and friends that make the Valley a great place to live and work. And, I have to thank my more-than-fabulous husband, Lee, who encouraged me four years ago to “check out the Studio City Neighborhood Council to see what’s going on here.”
In conclusion, I look forward to receiving your vote of confidence this Thursday, September 20th. But, whether I’m elected to represent you as a new SCNC Board member or not, I will continue to be a contributing member via the SCNC various committees.
I do hope this election has piqued your interest of the Studio City Neighborhood Council. As the SCNC street banners call out to all who drive, walk, bus or bike by – Make a Difference. Get Involved.
