Pilot With Studio City Ties Reported Missing in China

David G. Riggs has been reported missing after his plane crashed in northeast China. His aviation company is based in Studio City.

In 2008, pilot David G. Riggs lost his pilot’s license for buzzing the Santa Monica Pier and illegally selling rides to the public. Now he’s been reported missing after his plane crashed in China, according to the Los Angeles Times.

According to the Times, Riggs was flying a single-engine aircraft made from a kit in northeast china when his plane crashed. The body of an 18-year-old woman serving as his translator was found, but Riggs is still missing.
