"North By Northwest" is my favorite Hitchcock Movie. The title is taken from "Hamlet" and the film is a classic mistaken identity story with action, comedy, sex appeal, a great hero (Cary Grant) and a great villain (James Mason). The attached woodcut depicts the famous cropduster scene where a low-flying plane tries to shoot down Cary Grant in a midwestern cornfield. Made in 1959, this film served as a creative template for the early James Bond films which came out a few years later. If not for his age, Cary Grant would have been a great James Bond himself.
