“If I Can Do It, You Can Too”

Getting started on a running journey for a hobby, getting healthier or the ultimate challenge...running a marathon. From a Studio City resident and writer.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to run a marathon?

A marathon is running 26.2 miles in the same day with thousands of people running in front of you, behind you and next to you. It could be in the hot simmering sun or the cold, pouring rain for several hours.  Some people might think it’s impossible. However, many others might want to try something so incredible but don’t know how to get started.

I started my journey to my dream goal of running my first Los Angeles Marathon 11 years ago. I always wanted to run a marathon but did not know how to get started and if was even possible.

I am an ordinary person and a mother of two children. I began my own research and discovered a running group that trains for the Los Angeles Marathon in Santa Monica, CA.  I made the commitment to myself and began my training. There were many sacrifices that were made and I learned so many things along the way. I did not have a manual of the many things I have learned over these past 11 years.

Many people ask me questions about how they can get started on their running journey. I am here now as my voice to answer your questions.
I want to help people achieve their dream of running as a hobby, 5k, 10k, ½ marathon or full marathon. There are so many fundraising organizations as well.
