Blog: A Secretary of Business CANNOT Increase Employment by 23 Million

President Obama scurried to Wisconsin, post Sandy touring, today.  While in Green Bay he offered plenty of fodder for the person in charge of titles for various media sources...even mine!

The Washington Examiner enticed readers with "Obama: Tea Party Attitude In Washington DC Needs To Go"

Boston.com picked up AP's Nedra Pickler's piece entitled: "Presidential Politics Reignite in Sandy's Wake"

While in Green Bay he links Romney to Bush politics and concludes under Romney administration there would be no compromises. “Ruling out compromise by pledging to rubberstamp the Tea Party’s agenda as President -– that’s definitely not change,” Obama said. “In fact, that’s exactly the attitude in Washington that needs to go.”

WOW!  Perhaps Pres Obama needs to revisit the historical accounts of the original tea party - the word compromise WAS NOT IN THEIR AGENDA.  The colonists were so made with the TAXES WITHOUT REPRESENTATION they dumped the very product which culturally linked them to the King...to Great Britain.  

How is it every incumbent boasts about compromise in DC yet vote party ticket.  The pork barrel addendums and line item adjustments may get included as a nod to "compromise" but rarely do they benefit the general populous. 

The agenda of the "Tea Party" movement is lower taxes...less government. 

President Obama is not addressing the demographics of the "Tea Party" movement.  They are not in the 1%; which basically describes political donors to bi-partisan elected officials AND many elected officials. The rank and file "Tea Party" advocates are over taxed middle-to-becoming-lower income Americans. The ethnic demographics of the "Tea Party" is American: Blacks, Hispanics, Middle Eastern, Asian, American Indian, and the media-maligned European and North American Anglos.

Who is this "Secretary of Business"?  Was this the October surprise that hurricane Sandy upstaged?

 Earlier this week during an MSNBC interview President Obama praised the efforts of Pres. Bill Clinton for job growth.

‘‘By the end Bill Clinton’s second term America had created 23 million new jobs, and incomes were up and poverty was down and our deficit became the biggest surplus in our history,’’ Obama said. ‘‘So Wisconsin, we know the ideas that work.’’

The fallacy of this is revealed by going to the Dept of Labor website and reviewing annual statistics from Dec 1993 to Dec 2011.

Civilian Labor Force:

Employed:

So perhaps Pres Clinton aka Secretary of Business and Pres Obama need tea served - as retired Presidents in a quaint restaurant overlooking the Boston Harbor. Perhaps the illustrious Dr. Ron Paul would offer to give them a history lesson as they sipped their tea in fine tea cups made in AMERICA.
