WOW McConaughey Thanked God And Everyone Reacted

I don't intend to be a spoilsport...and what with lots of comments abounding ...excited because Matthew M "mentioned God" you would think Christians were persecuted in America. In actuality the reason God is not mentioned by those in Hollywood may be a reflection of our own behavior to be reticent or silent or lazy (!) Since when did Hollywood drive the morality of America? Since people handed it over to them. When we buy into lauding a Director/suspected child abuser  or a movie with limited language skills (aka 500 examples of one species of foul words) then we think its wonderful God is mentioned ONCE I wonder where our thought process has gone. If we expect Hollywood's participants to handle our individual responsibility to spread the Gospel and we gather at the water fountain and say oooooooooooh, I wonder if we have forgotten the scripture "well done good and faithful servant" Matthew M was merely expressing the fact, in layman's terms, what is clearly outlined in the New Testament:   he has not finished the course....he has his eye on the prize . Many people heard one word "God" and maybe we should have listened and heard FAITHFUL FINISH HONOR of which are not present in said Director/suspected child abuser or the foul movie WoWS. 

However at the oscars I would say it is because 90% of what is presented as award worthy is so far removed from God His presence is long gone before the award show. But for those who bring God to the oscars I don't mean to scorn but in thinking about what McConaughey said take a look at this video from last year. Dale had a goal...accountability...and love.
