Just to let you know of an inexpensive way to spend a Friday or Saturday night next weekend. The Los Angeles County High School for the arts is putting on the opera Tales of Hoffman at the luckman theater on January 18 and 19. Tickets are around $15.
There are many local talented kids from Studio City performing in it, including many of my former students from Walter Reed Middle School.
These kids are amazing, and worth a ticket of $50. Many of the kids come from studio city, north hollywood area and ride the subway and bus to get to school each day. If you want a great evening of fine music and talented singers, and support our local schools, please attend.
You can get tickets at the box office on the day of the show or call ahead to the Luckman Theater. Unfortunately, this won't be sold out, but it should be.
It is truly a great evening and you will not be disappointed.
