Attendance at the Royal Centennial Polo Event (Studio City Actor/Director)

A once in a lifetime Royal event, here in Southern California. A Studio City resident's experience.

"This is a once in a life time event" - stated on of my neighbors, as we sat on the Grandstands of the King's Sport (the Royal Polo Challenge), featuring Prince William as number 4 on one of the three teams, and Duchess Kate Middleton, as the Tiffany Award presenter at the finale.

To celebrate the centennial anniversary of the aristocratic Santa Barbara POLO & Racquet Club, this event included the following sponsors; Centurion by American Express, Tiffany & Co., Royal Salute scotch & whisky, Audi and Jack Willis outfitters.

With a gold wrist-band, one was able to enjoy an unlimited amount of drinks, including the $450/a bottle of the featured Salute scotch.

The lunch was provided by the famous chef Giada De Laurentiis, I chose pita sandwiches with coleslaw & a cookie variety.

There was a plethora of press at the event and I gave four mini-interviews, to ABC 7, Reuters, Ch. 7 Australia and CBS Radio LA KNX 1070 - one of my friends called me at 8:34pm and was happy to hear my interview, presented as "actor Mikhail Tank" played in her car. I stated that the couple was relatable & inspired people with their sophisticated culture.

It was my very 1st time watching a Polo match, a fascinating game which requires great skill and balance. The Prince and the only lady on one of the teams, Melissa Ganzi were exceptionally strong willed and powerful players.

I have never before seen ladies in the U.S. in big hats, looked great! The event was well planned by the company Your Bash! and flowed smoothly from parking & shuttles to the food & programs, to the promo items, awards, and back to the open space parking lot.

The Duchess presented multiple Tiffany gifts and an elegant Winner's Trophy (hand crafted, 15 pounds, 18" height / 17" width, made from sterling silver and 18k gold vermail).

The royal couple was dignified, in love, beaming, gentle and good-hearted. Is is truly rare for royalty to marry when in love - the energy they exude is real and filled with the true spirit of giving. There was nothing put on or haughty about this affair and I am very glad to have participated.
