Lee Salazar, who lived in Studio City much of her life and brought up two daughters locally with her husband Bud, died the day after her 78th birthday on July 5.
She was born on the 4th of July, 1934 in Terre Haute, Indiana. As a young girl she moved to Hollywood, Calif., and met her future husband while in junior high school. Lee graduated from Hollywood High School and she and Bud were married on his 19th birthday on April 25, 1953. After their military life, Bud and Lee settled in Studio City and had two daughters, Melinda and Melissa. Lee loved being a stay at home mom raising her girls and was always there with open arms to all of the neighborhood kids and friends of the girls.
She died in the arms of Bud, whom she was married to for 59 years.
There will be a memorial celebration for Lee on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Ventura Baptist Church located at 5415 Ralston Street, Ventura Calif., 93003
