Dr. Jay Richlin died at 82 and had a significant ophthalmology practice in Studio City. He and his wife, Simone, were married for 53 years.
According to his obituary:
"Jay and Simone staged constant and wonderful parties and get togethers first in Studio City and later in Beverly Hills. Simone was Jay's cultural attache in addition to life partner. French roots took hold and amazing cuisine became a regular part of the couple's passion. Then pizza cooking, then Chinese cooking lessons in the home with Madame Wong. Jay found he had skill with the wok and the couple co-cooked hundreds and thousands of delightful meals, entertaining colleagues, friends, and family."
