Frances Quigley, (but everyone called her "Fran") a beloved and tireless volunteer in Studio City and Sherman Oaks, died peacefully on April 17. She was 99.
A memorial service is planned on May 5, at 11 a.m., at the, 4418 Coldwater Canyon in Studio City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wildlife Way Station or Linda Blair Rescue to commemorate her undying love for animals.

Her tireless volunteerism resulted in the SCRA naming an award “" It is a special award (which was often presented by Fran herself) to an outstanding member of the Studio City Community for their hard work.
Quigley was born Jan. 15, 1913 and taught at Riverside Elementary School.
She is survived by brother, Elmer Brune; and six nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers, William and Norman Brune; and husband, Robert.
