A Hundred Million Miracles Are Hap'ning Every Day!

Whether you celebrate Passover, Easter, or are completely nonreligious, there's always room for miracles in your life. Even if you don't believe, major marvels are occurring right before your eyes with or without your awareness.

All you need is a bit of consciousness and you’ll begin to notice the awe and wonder around you. Perhaps serendipity is seeping in. Maybe your fortune is following close behind. Consider how luck and providence have played a part in your journey.

There are no coincidences. Everything happens for a reason. The choice is yours as to how you paint the picture of your destiny. You can stay stagnant and stuck in futile behaviors and toxic habits. You can transform into a beautiful butterfly or die in your cocoon.

This is the season to celebrate the fact that you’re free to be whoever and do whatever you’ve always desired. There are no limitations except the ones you unilaterally place on your psyche.

You can succeed in any endeavor you attempt. Trying is the triumph. Striving is an accomplishment. The only defeat is in not giving it a go, i.e. not making an effort, period.

Take a leap of faith. Make that phone call to the handsome gentleman or lovely lady you met at the market; the co worker you’ve been fancying for months; the friendship you’ve been longing to mend; an estranged family member. What have you got to lose?

It’s easy to fall into isolation and hide out in your own cubicle, especially in LA where everyone spends so much time alone in their cars. Take advantage of the longer days and magnificent sunshine to walk the beautiful boulevard where you’ll encounter smiling faces, meet old and new acquaintances, commune with nature and the elements.

Bring your laptop to Starbucks, Coffee Bean, or Peet’s. Enjoy outdoor dining at Mexicali, The Counter, Umami Burger, Pizza Rev. Sign up for a full moon hike at Treepeople or Griffith Park.

If you don’t transform, you die. Like all living beings you require nourishment, cultivation, and light. Cut back the dead branches. Discard detrimental patterns impeding your growth. Pull the weeds surrounding and smothering you, i.e. toxic relationships.

What’s holding you back from soaring to the highest heights? Fear of the unknown is the greatest obstacle to advancement. Comfort in discomfort keeps people from the glory of progress and development.

Have you noticed your liaisons begin, develop, and end in a similar manner? Are only the names varied yet the results consistent? Does every first date and break up produce identical outcomes? Does every conflict with a mate occur over familiar territory?

Plant novel bulbs this spring. Till the soil. Nurture your roots. Then watch your spiritual garden grow and blossom in unimaginable directions. You don’t have to just survive and barely eke by. You can thrive and mature beyond belief.

Ponder what's thwarting your ability to move forward. Is it a decayed, destructive, romantic connection? Is it a one-sided association with a companion? Is it an enmeshed, codependent bond with a relative? Is it an abusive union with a colleague?

You no longer have to tolerate unhealthy ties. There are plenty of fish in the sea, cohorts to gallivant with, close confidantes to welcome into your circle.

You don’t have to feel obligated to continue in negative, hurtful, demeaning, detrimental alliances. You can remove yourself and protect your psyche from the plague of harmful links and you can prevent devastating damage to your spirit and soul.

Whether you believe or not, a hundred million miracles are happ’ning ev’ry day. You won’t find them knocking at your door. However, you’re sure to come across a multitude by venturing off your couch and allowing the fortress you’ve built to be penetrated.

Hiding behind closed doors won’t shield you from the past pain and suffering that clouds your present, giving you a false sense of security. The best method for receiving the gift of a miracle is to pursue the radiance that shines when you interact with like minded individuals.

There are no more excuses for refusing to attend the many fabulous functions specifically designed for singles at no or minimal cost. At what price love? Isn’t it better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all?

"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next." (Gilda Radner)

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." (Mark Twain)
