An inspiration to all of us who have had some kind of women's cancer and to those who may be diagnosed. I was fortunate to need only a lumpectomy in 1998 and chose to keep my situation private at the time; all should do what feels best.

Those of us who are more familiar with the genes which statistics have shown are most likely to form breast and ovarian cancer understand the choices--certainly better for me than before I was diagnosed and knew so little. I am fortunate that there is no history of cancer of women in my family.
