Dog Attack

I wanted to make the community aware of a unprovoked attack by an akita to our 7 year old son.  It happened on December 30, 2013, right in front of our driveway.  The owner said the dog was friendly and when my son walked up to him, he went right for my sons neck and chest and then took a chunk of his arm out.  He had to have 40 some stitches, even muscle had to be stitched and one of the puncture wounds came close to collapsing his lung.  We live in colfax meadows and the owner lives in the area too.  There are a lot of kids in this area and I hope this never happens to anyone else.  If you see an Akita, please stay away.
