Fryman Canyon Hiking Trail Parking Overflow because of Lot Fees

The Santa Mountains Conservancy has imposed a $3 fee in the parking lot at Laurel Canyon and Fryman below the popular Betty Dearing Hiking Trail. Walkers and hikers avoid this fee by parking in the adjacent residential streets--Laurel Canyon, Laurel Terrace and Mound View. These streets are clogged with cars, especially on weekends, which bring in noise, people, dogs and litter. A representative of Councilmember Krekorian said that the Conservancy will not change the fee. The Conservancy is a poor neighbor. Thefts from cars are on the increase in my neighborhood because of these unreasonable fees. How can we make our voices heard?
